About Kathy Robinson

CXO Directions was founded by Kathy Robinson, President, who has 25+ years of experience coaching leaders to build their professional visibility and impact, translating into more joy at work, better pay, increased leadership reach, and confidence in their future direction.

Named a Top Ten Career Coach by CNN Money, Kathy is sought after as a frequent media contributor about executive careers and leadership. She has steered thousands of executives as part of her own private practice and as a former recruiter and Human Resources executive.

Kathy founded and led multiple coaching organizations, including the first-of-its-kind online career coaching platform, TurningPoint, which has served tens of thousands of individuals looking to redirect their careers, as well as the Executive Career Coaching Alliance, a peer forum for executive career strategists across the country. Her career prior to becoming a coach includes both Fortune 100 and extensive start-up expertise across a variety of sectors, and she continues to consult for both large and small organizations along with working one-on-one with individual executives.

Kathy works with leaders to develop their unique vision and value proposition to become known as the go-to person for their expertise. She serves as a strategic sounding board for executives looking to lead organizations through key transition points, become more visibly known, elevate their presence,  conduct a career pivot, reposition after a company exit, land board roles, and/or start a consulting practice.

What It’s Like To Work With Kathy:

  • “Kathy has helped me think differently about my own brand and approach, which has meant changes in how I manage my organization and also how I approach my industry and peers. When I initially reached out, I had thought of myself as a successful executive who needed a little “buttoning up” for a job search, but Kathy has shown me that there’s a bigger strategy to presenting yourself in an ongoing way that has opened up so much more opportunity for me. I trust her and rely on her when I’m making any strategic moves as a leader or in my career.”

  • “As I reached more "pivotal" points in my career, I wanted to make sure that I was doing everything in my power to position myself for ongoing success and career satisfaction. That's when I decided to reach out to Kathy Robinson. Not only is she an excellent resource for negotiating the ever-changing landscape of the workplace, but she went on to help me transition from employee to business owner—with ease. Her experience as a high-level HR pro, as well as business owner is invaluable to a variety of career situations. I don't know anyone who couldn't benefit from a dose of Kathy Robinson.”
